11 Classy Men Who Prove Tattoos Don’t Have to be Unprofessional

Tattoos tend to be a love hate subject. Either you’re all for them or you’re dead set against them. Or you’re like me and you’d consider getting one if it meant something, but you’d get it somewhere that’s easy to hide. Almost as if to say yeah I have a tattoo, but don’t judge me for it. Well these 10 people will show you that having a tattoo doesn’t mean you can’t be classy and it certainly doesn’t make you unprofessional. Sure some employers may still turn you away if you have a visible tattoo, but we’re here to prove that it’s not just gangsters and thugs who have tattoos anymore. Classy tattoos are in with the respectable working man.

You may still want to get it in a spot you can conceal should you need to, but don’t think just because you have a tattoo you are instantly unhireable, because that just isn’t the case anymore.

  1. So if you’re good looking, dress nicely, and groom yourself you can be barely passable as an employee with tattoos? That’s not too restrictive at all.

    • Well you should dress nicely and groom yourself if you want to get a job regardless of whether or not you have tattoos, and I really don’t think being good looking has too much to do with it personally. That’s just my opinion though.

  2. Wearing a fancy suit and tie does not change the fact that the tattoos pictured are not at all ‘classy” or “professional”. Having a skull faced cupcake and lipstick mark imprinted on your exposed skin doesn’t make for a great first impression in the business world.

  3. Face tattoos = unprofessional (unless it’s traditional like a moko or something)
Suit with no socks? = gross and unprofessional

FYI: I have tats and I work as a professional.

  4. No, they are unprofessional. Tattoos are not classy. They have no place in the business world. Time and time again you see people who have them getting them removed for they find they hinder their abilities to get a good job.

  5. Hate to say it but non of these men look classy…. They ALLL look unprofessional. People who love tatoos and post pictures of tatood men in suits are not a reliable source of what is considered professional. Theirs nothing wrong with tatoos don’t get me wrong but them being visible in your business attire just doesn’t look proffesional, artsy- yes, proffesional-no.

  7. These are just models in suits. There is no connection one way or another with tattoos and being classy or not classy, any more than having zero tattoos means you’re stand up guy. These pictures prove nothing other than models look good in suits.

  8. I don’t think that you should have to prove that you can be professional when having tattoos.. I have tattoos and they have never affected my ability to get a job. These people saying that they wouldn’t want to have them work for them and bash them for having tattoos are just as bad as those who are homophobic, racist, and bigots. Judging people based purely off of appearance. (Don’t get me wrong, if you have a pot leaf tattooed on your face or gang symbols, I agree that those are bad and I’d want no part of them either because they have them for the wrong reasons).

  10. Honestly this is a god damn disservice to people who actually can look classy in suits with tattoos. It’s just a bunch of dudes dressed in suits that were picked out by someone with no idea how to coordinate or colour match. Who’s the twat in the yellow tie and blue shirt, yea lets stick an eldredge knot in, that’ll help it out. Christ.

  11. Sorry, the effect is always: Nice suit, shirt, or tie. Too bad about the tattoo!
Tattoos do not complement fine clothing.
